1981 Alpina B7 S Turbo (E12)

The Alpina B7 Turbo was dubbed ‘the world´s fastest 4-door car’ when it was first introduced at the 1978 IAA.

It´s actually still very fast by today´s standards.

The 3.0 liter turbocharged engine may not be as powerful as the engine behind it but 300 bhp satisfies most people’s needs concerning power.

At first the car was called the 530 Turbo but Alpina soon changed the name to B7 Turbo.

Between December 1978 and February 1982 a total of 149 E12 B7 Turbos were produced.
