It’s nice to come home to a dog who’s happy to see you.
Porsche 956 chassis #001
The very first Porsche 956. It made its racing debut at the Silverstone 6 Hour race in May of 1982 and was driven to class victory by Jackie Ickx and Derek Bell. During Le Mans, chassis 001 served as a T-car. Subsequently it was raced only once more, to victory at the Norisring by Jochen Mass. In the Summer of 1986, it was given to Ickx to thank him for many services for Porsches. After a lengthy stay in the United States, it recently ended up in the hands of a great Porsche and Group C racing enthusiast in Great Britain.
While exploring Corona Del Mar with the80sareforever, I decided to take a series of photos of where I stood. It was a really beautiful place.
Normally I don’t take pictures of automotive related stuff but Mike’s BMW Powered Model A was too hard to pass up .
We had a brown Chevy Astro when I was growing up. I came across this 53 page gem of Chevy vans from 1994 that my dad must’ve gotten at the dealership he bought it. It’s GREAT.
I had the opportunity of a lifetime: to drive an E28 M5 through the rolling hills of Italy. Andrew and I spent a week in Tuscany, and the latest StanceWorks article highlights what made the trip something I’ll remember forever.
